This is what EVE Online looks like on my laptop when the graphics are pushed as far as they can go. Full 1080p resolution. It took a while to find a nicely coloured nebulae, then it was just a matter of hiding the UI and positioning the camera.
I was inspired to try taking a beautiful screenshot in game by a guy called Duncan, who runs the most amazing blog called Dead End Thrills. He's trying to draw attention to video games as an art form (which I whole-heartedly back) and does so by taking the most unbelievable screenshots of games we've perhaps never stopped to really 'look' at.
Also, for the record, EVE Online is an amazing game. I've been playing for almost a month now and still haven't figured out what I'm doing yet. The scale of the in-game universe is biblical. Give yourself some geek points for recognising my ship.
Oh now, that's dope. I've always been interested in EVE Online, but my computer specs have never been up to par. Perhaps next year. I also like where Duncan's mind is at!
